UI and Performance

Due to the limitation in the trial version, the product’s feature cannot be tested during this review. Updating, scanning the USB, repairing the system registry and cleaning-up the disk are the features that we cannot test due to limitation.
The User Interface is quite neat and will not confuse you. The program also provides helpful information in using the program. However, it is using 6MB of memory which is too much for a program that does not allow you to scan or use the program’s features. Enabling and disabling the protection is not possible using the limited version.

Conclusion

Most antivirus and anti-malware programs have the ability to protect networked and removable drives via USB using behavioral and signature detections. This program is not required if your anti-malware tool provide protections already.

Scanning
Proses scanning komputer pada aplikasi ini tidak berbeda dengan seri terdahulu. Pengguna dapat melakukan proses pemindaian terhadap program jahat dalam beberapa modus seperti quick scanning atau full scanning.

Namun yang menarik adalah, produk ini dapat memeriksa akun Facebook yang kita miliki. Misalnya, pengguna mendapatkan undangan palsu atau ada yang memberikan link khusus melalui wall.

Setiap kali majalah PC Media diterbitkan, selalu saja disertai suplemen berupa CD berisi kumpulan aplikasi dan software trial maupun freeware. Didalamnya juga dimasukkan update terbaru dari antivirus PC MAV yang kini mencapai versi 5.5 Valhalla. Berikut ini beberapa perubahan pada PC MAV terbaru:

Sekedar berbagi cerita, beberapa waktu lalu saat mampir untuk browsing diwarnet, flashdisk yang saya gunakan menunjukkan keanehan yang langsung saya sadari apa biangnya. Saat melihat ada empat shortcut yaitu Copy of Shortcut to (1) sampai dengan Copy of Shortcut to (4), saya langsung teringat tulisan tentang ciri-ciri komputer terserang virus ramnit , dengan tenang langsung saja gunakan PCMAV yang memang selalu disimpan dalam flashdisk untuk berjaga-jaga. 

tada.. dan hasilnya pun langsung terlihat, seluruh file yang terinfeksi dapat dipulihkan tanpa merusaknya dan biangnya dapat dimusnahkan dengan sempurna tanpa si virus bisa me-recycle-kan dirinya lagi kedalam flashdisk. Tercatat dua kali sudah jenis virus yang menimpa saya dan tertangani dengan cara yang anggun oleh PCMAV . Hal yang belum saya temukan dari antivirus luar yang seringkali cara kerjanya serabutan asal delete, rusak file, berujung pada penyelesaian yang tidak tuntas.
